Registered Mental Health Nurse
Location: Flexible working

Working with: Clinical Lead for Complex Care, Support Workers, Senior Management Team, Operations Manager, Business Development Manager, Healthcare providers

What you will do:
You will provide outstanding care and support to individuals with mental health conditions under CQC regulated activities in England. Your duties will involve assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients with mental health needs, including:
What are you responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to determine patients’ psychological, emotional and social needs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop an accurate diagnosis of mental health conditions
- Develop individualised care plans based on patients’ specific needs, preference and goals
- Involve and educate patients and their families in the care planning and treatment process to ensure their input and consent
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness
- Use therapeutic communication techniques to build rapport and trust with patients
- Respond to mental health crisis, providing immediate support and intervention to de-escalate situations
- Develop and implement safety plans for patients at risk of self-harm or suicide
- Promote mental health awareness and provide resources for further support and information
- Advocate for patients’ rights and needs within the healthcare systems and the community
- Ensure patients receive appropriate care and support services, including referrals to specialists or community resources
- Work collaboratively the a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social works and occupational therapists
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care
- Maintain accurate and detail records of patient assessments, treatments and progress
- Stay updated with the latest developments in mental health care, including new treatments, research and best practice
- Comply with legal requirements, such as patient confidentiality, informed consent, mandatory reporting and most importantly safeguarding of service users
- Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice to enhance personal and professional growth

You will have experience of:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
- Current NMC registration
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role
